Larry A Weppler served as a municipal utility
district director for 7 years and was the Vice President
of Mission Bend MUD #2. He is a registered professional
civil engineer, and is the Construction Division Manager
for Jones & Carter, Inc. Mr. Weppler has a B.S. degree
in civil engineering.
Karla Cannon served as a municipal utility district
director for 8 years and was the President of Clay Road
MUD. She is a Licensed Real Estate Agent with Joe
Rothchild, REMAX, Fry Road.
Bruce G. Parker has served as a municipal utility
district director for 12 years and was the President of
Nottingham Country MUD. Mr. Parker has a B.S. in mechanical
engineering. He has participated in surface water symposiums
at the Association of Water Board Directors and has previously
served on the West Harris Country Surface Water Steering
Committee.
George L. Rush, JR. has served as a municipal utility district director
for 19 years and was the Assistant Secretary for Harris County
MUD #188. He was also the president of the Copperfield Joint
Operation’s Board. Mr. Rush owns and operates a full service
real estate and construction company and a landscaping firm.
He earned a B.B.A. from Southwest Texas State University.
Eric Hansen, A Houston area
native, graduated from Texas A&M University with a
Bachelor of Environmental Design and graduate degrees in
Land and Real Estate Development and Construction
Management. Eric is a licensed Texas Real Estate
Broker. He is President of HealthLink Development,
a construction and real estate consulting company that
operates across the United States. His experience
includes the development, planning, design, and
construction of senior housing projects including
skilled nursing, assisted living and Alzheimer’s/memory
care facilities; and evaluating, planning, and
implementing commercial and residential projects in the
local Katy, Texas area. Eric served on the Board of
Directors of Harris County MUD #81 for 7 years until he
joined the WHCRWA Board of Directors in November 2009.
Stacey L. Burnett served as a municipal utility district
director for 24 years and was the President of Westlake MUD
#1. He has a B. B. degree in accounting, and was an accountant
with Enron North America.
Douglas C. Postle served as President of Harris County MUD #257
for 16 years. He earned a B. A. in math, and is a real estate
consultant regarding right-of-way acquisition and abstraction.
Mark G. Janneck served as MUD
director for 16 years and was President of Horsepen
Bayou MUD. Janneck is a registered professional
mechanical engineer and project manager for CHP &
Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc. He has a
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
Johnny Nelson is a lifelong
resident of Katy and a member of one of the pioneering
rice farming and ranching families of Katy. He has been
the owner/operator of Katy Sales & Supply for more than
40 years and has an impressive record of public and
community service. Nelson served as Mayor of the
City of Katy from 1983 – 1987; was a Director of the
Greater Katy Chamber of Commerce from 1988 – 1990, and
served as Chamber President in 1990. He served as
a Director of the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District
from 1980 – 1982, sand has been Katy’s City
Administrator since 1994. Nelson was selected as
the Greater Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the
Year for 1998.
