WHCRWA SURFACE WATER OUTAGE CONTINUES

WHCRWA SURFACE WATER OUTAGE CONTINUES

As of Friday, Feb. 19, the West Harris County Regional Water Authority (WHCRWA) continues to do everything possible to restore water supply to our utility district customers during these extreme conditions.

A boil water notice continues to be in effect, and we are working with the City of Houston to pressurize the waterline that supplies the WHCRWA Pump Station.

On Friday morning, the WHCRWA began to receive a small amount of water through the City of Houston waterline. At this time, the WHCRWA has not received the amount of water needed to fill the WHCRWA ground storage tanks, and this is a critical step in resuming water distribution to customers. The WHCRWA Pump Station is staffed twenty-four hours a day, and constant communication is maintained with the operators on issues at our utility district facilities.

We do not currently have an estimated delivery time for restored service. Once adequate water supply has been received from the City of Houston, the WHCRWA will provide water to its utility district customers as quickly as possible.

Updates will be provided as more information is available.
