Part of the planning that the West is doing involves planning for generations.

The work that we’re doing today and the costs that we’re undertaking today are spread out over 30- and 40-year bonds. That’s because the life cycle of this equipment and this infrastructure is designed to last 50, 60, 70, 80 years, and longer.

This is a water supply for future generations, not just for today.

Part of our goal is to make sure that, as those generations become customers, they have the time and the ability to not only take care of themselves, but to take care of the generations beyond them.
