The Central Pump Station is at the end of the pipeline, so it receives the transmission across town from the source of supply that the Authority purchased from the City of Houston and supplies surface water to all of the member MUDs—the municipal utility districts—that joined the groundwater reduction plan.

The West Authority is a wholesale provider to each MUD district, and my district, in turn, distributes it to retail customers.

The pump station itself is 150 MGD—150 million gallons a day.

There are two storage tanks presently at the site. Each one holds 15 million gallons. There are two now, and two more are planned for the future.
