The West Harris County Regional Water Authority’s People Behind the Progress Video Series has been named a Silver Winner in the Social Campaigns — Government & Municipal category at the 2026 w3 Awards.

Created for the Authority’s 25th anniversary, the series tells the story of WHCRWA’s work through the Board Members and Consultants who helped make it happen. The campaign grew out of 22 interviews recorded over four weeks, covering the Authority’s early years, major construction projects and public education efforts.

The videos give viewers a chance to hear directly from the people involved, with stories and edited transcripts available on the Authority’s website.

The w3 Awards recognize digital work across video, websites, social media and other platforms, with entries judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts. This recognition continues the WHCRWA Communications Committee’s multi-year record of award-winning public communications and water education outreach.

The People Behind the Progress series continues through October as WHCRWA celebrates its 25th anniversary.
