The Board of Directors of the West Harris County Regional Water Authority is saddened to learn of the passing of Jon Lindsay.

As a State Senator, Lindsay sponsored the legislation in the Senate that led to the formation of WHCRWA in 2001. He helped establish a long-term approach to protecting groundwater resources and addressed subsidence in northwest Harris County. His leadership and foresight helped shape the regional water strategy that continues to serve communities today.

WHCRWA extends its condolences to the Lindsay family and honors Senator Lindsay’s lasting legacy in public service and water policy.
