Another thing that the West has done as far as outreach is set up a Communications Committee a few years back.

There have been inserts that the MUD boards can use. They can just go online and let the West know how many they need. It’s as simple as that. They get printed and dropped off.

There’s also an irrigator project going on to help encourage people to conserve water. Take care of your sprinkler systems and inspect them every year.

If you conserve water, you’re not spending as much.

We’ve written articles for local newspapers. We also have our own newsletters that go out once or twice a year to educate people, and not just about the West. There are some pretty fun and interesting articles that we include in there to try to grab their attention.

The consultants that we have do a great job, so I’ll give them kudos for that. They’ve won a few awards, and they keep stacking up.

So don’t be a water-wasting weasel.
